However with diligence and practice, yoga can teach you to master your inner working of your body, mind and spirit. One can raise your temperature in cold climates, or lower your body temperature in a hot climate, increase vitality, immunity and help provide a long lasting life, one free from ailments and illnesses. However yoga is not just these benefits, there are psychological and spiritual attributes that you can add to your repertoire.
According to the yogis there are certain chants, asanas and meditative stances which when practised and mastered, can help deal with certain constraints and barriers in you. These constraints are the 7 chakras which when unlocked, will allow you to tap into your true potential, a self-actualised version of yourself. However, when unlocked it is recommended that you implement a particular lifestyle or embed a state of mind that grounds you and prevents you from exploiting this innate power that lies within everyone.
A Tibetan monk mastered the inner workings of his own mind and body that he burnt himself alive without uttering a sound. For someone who has complete control over oneself, can achieve anything if he/she puts their mind to it. Although this isn’t the benchmark we wish to keep for everyone who practices yoga, but an example of what humans are capable of when mastering the art of yoga.
